MARQUETRY OR MARQUETERIE TECHNIQUE: The art of marquetry is the decorative work which consists of  the creation of elaborate designs and their application on wood through the insert of veneers, pearls and shells, copper sheets, bronze , silver and others, which apply to the furniture (armchairs, dining rooms, buffets, etc.). The thickness of the sheets applied to the wood ranges between 0.5 mm and up to 10 mm and then glued by special treatment to the wooden surface and becomes one with it. It is a thin puzzle of the marquetry’s material, which is tangled on the furniture creating a special aesthetic surface.
